My Constipation Protocol

When you’re constipated, it’s hard to concentrate on your daily work and activities. Some people also experience chronic constipation pain and have to deal with infrequent bowel movements or difficulty passing stools for several weeks. Fortunately, there are several ways you can remedy constipation at home and one of them is increasing your vitamin and supplement intake along with improving your diet. 

This package includes: Colon Detox, Magnesium Citrate, and Cleansing Herbs. 

1) Colon Detox

Constipation usually starts when stools move slowly or get stuck in the colon for a long period of time. When this happens, the colon will absorb too much water and cause your stool to become lumpy and dry, making it difficult for your rectal muscles to push them out of the body. Certain medical conditions can also cause acute or chronic constipation, such as gastrointestinal disorders, pelvic floor problems, and intestinal obstructions. 

As a dietary supplement, our Colon Detox contains two non-ingredients that can help improve bowel motility in individuals with constipation: 

• Magnesium hydroxide – It’s an inorganic compound that’s commonly found in laxatives and antacid formulas that can help draw water into the intestines and soften hard stools to encourage normal bowel movement. It can also reduce indigestion and heartburn by regulating the amount of acid in the stomach. 
• Triphala – It’s a natural ingredient made of three important herbs — Amalaki, Haritaki, and Bibhitaki. It’s a classic formula that’s been used in Ayurvedic medicine for a long time and it helps promote healthy digestion, manage inflammation, reduce gastric hyperacidity, and improve bowel movement. 

Recommended Use: Take 2 capsules with 8 ounces of water during bedtime or as directed by your healthcare provider. 

2) Magnesium Citrate 

This is another popular laxative that can provide fast-acting relief for occasional constipation. Magnesium citrate is essentially an osmotic laxative that helps relax the bowels and retains water and fluids in the intestines. It can also support healthy magnesium levels to minimize symptoms of magnesium deficiency, such as fatigue, difficulty sleeping, headaches, and muscle spasms.

Our Magnesium Citrate provides 300 mg of magnesium in a delicious, lemon-flavored powder so you can conveniently drink it in 1 teaspoon serving. It mixes and dissolves well in water and is easy to titrate when you need higher doses.  

Recommended Use: Take 4 grams or one scoop per day or as directed by your healthcare provider. You can also take it along with our Inositol Powder during bedtime for better sleep at night. 

3) Cleansing Herbs 

Natural herbs can also help loosen stools, promote better bowel movements, and reduce constipation pain. Doctors Designs Cleansing Herbs contains a revitalizing blend of different leaves, fruits, and flora to create an effective stimulant laxative formula to relieve your constipation. Some of the herbal ingredients that it contains are: 

• Senna (Cassia senna) leaf
• Apple (Malus pumila) fruit
