Our everyday lives can be super unpredictable. We never know what we can face. Or what we can end up doing. Sleep is the most important part of our day. That is when our body and cells regenerate throughout the night. We create new cells allowing our body to heal from the day.
If we do not do this, we are not allowing our body to heal. We are not creating the new cells that we need. Or gaining the energy and the rest that we need for our body to help us keep moving throughout the day.
If we do not get the proper amount of sleep throughout the night we are not taking care of ourselves. Using the My Sleep supplements it can help support your sleeping habits and help you feel better to continue on through your day.
We at SeeBeyond Medicine take sleep very seriously! We know without it, it’s impossible for our patients to get better. The following guidelines are a few tips to help you regulate a healthy sleep pattern.
1. Get plenty of sunlight and fresh air throughout the day.
Sunlight helps keep your natural clock in check and on track. Helping the flow and process of things. A great source of receiving sunlight is going for a walk taking your dog or your kids with you. Especially, now being in a pandemic we are still not able to do everything we are not able to do. Our bodies are not the same. So even going for a simple walk just to get out of the house and getting fresh air can help you get ready for bed. And have a better night’s rest.
2. Turning the lights out and creating a comfortable atmosphere.
At night bright lights can affect your eyes in more ways than one. As well as, keeping you awake at night. You are not allowing your body to suck in the relaxation that it needs. As you are getting ready for bed start reducing the lights around you. Bright lights will keep you awake creating the opposite effect on you. Dimming the lights can help relax your body preparing for bedtime. However, if you cannot sleep in the dark you can use decorative lights or a night light so you are not completely in the dark. I know a lot of people do not like sleeping in the dark. Even play some light soothing music if you’d like. Make yourself as comfortable as possible. When you are truly relaxed that will give you your best sleep results.
3. Limiting Coffee/Alcohol intake.
Caffeine is a great source of energy to keep you going throughout the day. However, it may not be the best thing for you to drink before bed. The same effect can keep you awake when drinking alcohol. However, a lot of people work evening shifts (as I have myself) or night shifts. So we need that energy to get through the shift. Don’t feel guilty for needing a cup of coffee. Or if you want, get decaf if you want to start transitioning into wanting/needing better sleep. Drinking plenty of water can help flush out the coffee that you took in.
4. Supplement Support
Sometimes supplements support is just what you need to help put together the perfect sleeping pattern for you. To help you feel refreshed and look your best for the next day to come.
